Happy Monday awesome ones!
I just spent a weekend with inspiring, intelligent, brave, creative and passionate female entrepreneurs. After chatting with dozens of these highly motivated and brave souls, there’s a theme that was totally emerging.
Imperfect action… meaning taking a step forward/moving in a direction without all the information to know the next step is exactly right.
This concept immediately brought to mind two books I adore (and talk about with clients all the time).
- The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. In this book one thing you are encouraged to do each week is have a two-hour artist date with yourself. On this date you go and do something creative that’s just for you without any direction.
- The Gifts of Imperfection by Brene Brown. In this book Brene talks about embracing your own imperfections and encouraging your flaws to be apart of your authentic self.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is take a step forward, even if we don’t know EXACTLY what’s next. It got me thinking – Where can you take a step forward even though you have imperfect information?
Have a wonderful week full of baby steps!
